Low Light? No problem.

Don’t let the lack of natural light keep you from adding houseplants to your home. We have compiled a list of our top 5 favorite low-light houseplants. Find out which one is best for you.

ZZ Plant

Thick glossy leaves add to any décor. A forgiving plant that can withstand a missed watering. The ZZ plant does well, even under fluorescent light. Plants will typically grow 15-25 inches….perfect size to fit almost anywhere.

Snake Plant

This easy care plant grows with low light and little fuss. Wide and short leaves, narrow and long, or round spikes. The leaves of Snake plants come in a range of shapes, sizes and colors perfect for any space or décor.

Chinese Evergreen (Aglaonema)

A great plant for beginners. Easy to grow and can tolerate almost any indoor condition. The Chinese Evergreen is small enough to sit on a desk or table, and grows slowly. No need to worry about frequent repotting. Larger, more mature Chinese Evergreens look great as accent pieces along a wall or in a corner.

Dracaena

There is a reason why the Dracaena is one of the easiest and most common indoor plants. They tolerate low light, but will thrive in medium and even bright light areas too. Small and bushy as young plants to woody stems as they mature. Striking colors and leaf textures will help you create your own look.

Arrowhead Plant (Nephtytis)

Known for it’s arrow-shaped leaves, this plant also tolerates low light levels very well. Versatile for most any room. Arrowhead plants start round and bushy, but will cascade and climb…perfect for a hanging basket or climbing up trellis (pinch off new growth to keep round/bushy). Variegated leaves of white, cream, silver pink and even purple.
