    What’s in the bottom
Of the pot? Dirt or something else?

Hello Liz. We use potting soil in our winter containers. What’s nice about this is that once the temps go down, the soil will freeze and hold the boughs in place. If the potting soil is already frozen you can stick boughs into floral foam and place on top of the pot. We call these pot toppers.
