The preferred tomato for canning! Great for ketchup, paste and sauces. Thick and meaty texture with very few seeds. Heavy crops of scarlet, pear-shapped fruit on vigoroous yet compact vines. Determinate.

PLANTING
Start seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost, keeping soil temperatures in the mid 70's. Grow in full sun. Shift hardened transplants to garden after last frost 24-30 inches apart.

CARE
Water regularly and fertilize when six inches tall and again in mid-summer. Stake or cage to save space and support plant.

HARVEST
Pick carefully when fruit is richly colored and firm, but beofre fruits begin to soften..
