Meet the Manager
Amy Sondgeroth

History: I started in 2017. I was part-time night and weekend help. In February 2020, I went full-time as an Assistant Store Manager. In May of 2023, I became Store Manager.

Favorite Things to Do: Spending time with family and friends. Most of all, spoiling my grandchildren.

Favorite Place to Visit: I love touring the countrysides and visiting all the surrounding towns.

Favorite Houseplant: I have several, but to narrow it down, it would be African Mask (Alocasia Polly) for its dramatic foliage and thee Chinese Evergreen (Aglaonema Emerald Bay) for its versatility in low light environments.

Favorite Tree or Shrub: Recently I have become obsessed with Rose of Sharon (Althea). My forever favorite tree is Quaking Aspen.

Top 3 Perennials: My ride or die is Tiger Lily - love, love, love the rich orange color. Coreopsis Moonbeam - it is the best 'plant-it-and-forget-it' perennial. Daylily Stormy Sky - color is key.

Why Work at Earl May?
"Where else can I experience so many changes in nature and talking with people who love the same thing. Every guest that walks through our store has a smile on their face, and how can you not enjoy working where typically everyone is happy."
