Squash Waltham Butternut
All America Selections Winner. The standard for butternut squash. Uniform nine inch fruits average 4-5 pounds, and are filled with delicious orange flesh. Yields well and does excellent in winter stroage.

PLANTING
Direct seed as soon as the ground becomes warm and all danger of frost is past. Plant 6-8 seed in hills, 4-6 feet apart each way.
CARE
Water heavily and requently. Feed every 3-4 weeks. When plants are 2 inches high, thin out each hill to 3 of the most vigorous plants.
HARVEST
Allow fruit to remain on vine until mature. Pick before frost, leaving part of stem attached. Store in a warm, dry place.
