  • Join us for an all-in-one event! We're smashing together all things fall before our big Christmas kickoff: food and beverages, spin the wheel to win, and outdoor games including corn hole, jenga, connect 4

November ▾

Saturday, November 9 - 11am
Ankeny, IA - Amaryllis Make-N-Take
1509 N. Ankeny Blvd. Ankeny, IA

  • Join us for a fun Saturday morning creating your very own festive Amaryllis arrangement using artificial greenery, berries, and pinecones. Your arrangement will bloom just in time for Christmas.
  • Each attending customer will be sent home with a bulb storage bag as well as instructions on how to store their bulb after its blooming time. Please allow 20-30 minutes to construct your arrangement.
  • 2 options available:
  • $30 standard option includes: glass vase, all necessary substrates, drainage stones, 1 amaryllis bulb, and moss.
  • $50 upgraded option includes: glass vase, all necessary substrates, 1 Amaryllis bulb, moss, and several options of Christmas berries, greenery, pinecones, picks, etc.
  • Limited spots available. Call our Ankeny Earl May Garden Center (515-964-2884) or stop in to reserve your spot. Payment is due at the time of event.

Holiday Open House - All Earl May Garden Center Locations

  • Join us for our Holiday Open House Weekend! Enjoy light refreshments, draw for special prizes and discounts, plus create your own Make-N-Take Winter Container!

December ▾

Wednesday, December 18 - 6-7:30pm
Ankeny, IA - Christmas Under the Stars w/ Emmanuel Lutheran Church
1509 N Ankeny Blvd, Ankeny, IA 50023

  • Bring your family to enjoy Christmas treats, crafts, candlelight (electric) and caroling... all under the stars in a heated greenhouse!
  • Crafts and treats will be set up in Earl May Garden Center and the greenhouse on the south side starting at 6pm. At 6:30pm everyone will be invited to gather around for a time of singing traditional carols and a short reflection on the hope of Christmas.
  • This event is made available free of charge to the community by Earl May Garden Center and Emmanuel Lutheran Church.
