Products purchased at the garden center or online can be returned at any of our garden centers. Product must be returned with original sales receipt 30 days from the date of purchase. With sales receipt, refunds will be awarded in the form of an Earl May gift card or the original form of payment for the amount purchased. Purchases made with Credit or Debit cards will be credited back to the original card. For purchases made with an Earl May Gift Card, a new Gift Card will be issued.
Without proof of receipt, an Earl May Gift Card may be issued for the lowest known price.
All end-of-season clearance sales are final.
Plant Replacements: Valid upon presentation of the original receipt and the dead plant. A one time replacement will be given at comparable value and container size. If we fail to have like product, we will issue an Earl May gift card for the amount paid to be used towards any product in our store.

Online Returns – Picked Up In Store
Products purchased online and picked up in store must be returned to the Earl May Garden Center in which the product was picked up, within 30 days of purchase. Merchandise must be returned in the original packaging with the original sales receipt. Your credit card will be credited once the product has been received by Earl May.

Hardy nursery stock and perennials are guaranteed for one full year from the date of purchase. An additional one-year guarantee is available with qualifying purchase of 1-gallon Earl May Plant Start on the same receipt. In-store nursery stock and perennials with a one-year guarantee include trees, shrubs, evergreens, roses, perennials, grasses, vines, and edible fruits.

For over 100 years, Earl May has provided our customers with healthy plants, true to name, and in prime condition for growing. We guarantee your plants will be handled carefully and our team of expert growers will process your order personally.
Plants will be delivered based on when it’s appropriate timing to plant in your climate and when our quality standards have been met. We ship Monday – Wednesday to avoid weekend delays.
Should you find your plants are not to your satisfaction or arrive damaged, please notify us within 48 hours of receipt and we will initiate a replacement or a refund. To start a claim, email: firstname.lastname@example.org or call toll free at: (800) 831-4193. Save all packaging and contents. Photos may be required on a situational basis. New plants may be re-shipped after the claim has been approved and processed. If we are currently out of stock of that item, we will offer a substitute.
Live plant items shipped from on-line ordering are non-returnable.

Earl May Seed & Nursery gives no warranty, express or implied, as to productiveness or purity of the product purchased or the crop produced from any seeds, bulbs, plants, materials, or other merchandise purchased. Earl May Seed & Nursery’s liability, whether contractual, for negligence, for strict liability, or otherwise, is limited to the purchase price for the seeds, bulbs, plants, materials, or other merchandise under all circumstances and regardless of the nature, cause, or extent of an loss. IN NO EVENT SHALL EARL MAY SEED & NURSERY BE LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. No liability hereunder shall be asserted unless Purchaser or user reports to Earl May Seed & Nursery by registered mail, return receipt requested, any complaints within a reasonable period after discovery (not to exceed 30 days). Seeds, bulbs, plants, materials, or other merchandise not accepted on the basis of the foregoing conditions of sale must be returned within 30 days in the original unopened containers and the purchase price will be refunded. The foregoing conditions of sale represent the entire agreement between the parties as to warranties or an other liabilities of Earl May Seed & Nursery and the remedy therefor.
