PLANTING
Select sunny, well-drained location and sow seed in spring after the soil has warmed to 60 degrees and all danger of frost is past. Does best in deeply cultivated soil that ishigh in nitrogen. To aid in pollination, avoid planting in a single row. For succession, plant every 3 weeks until early summer.

CARE
Be generous with water and fertilize when plants are 12-18 inches tall. Cultivate weekly or mulch to control weeds.

HARVEST
Do not harvest until the stalks have dried down and the husk is brown. Allow the ears to cure for 3-4 weeks in a dry place. Ears are ready to shell when kernels come off compeltley with a moderately aggressive twisting motion using both hands. Store in sealed jars for several weeks before popping.
