Tomato Rutger's
Heirloom. A great all-purpose variety, ideal for canning. Ripens evenly from the inside out. Bright red fruits average eight ounces each, on strong disease resisitant vines. Determinate.

PLANTING
Start seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost, keeping soil temperatures in the mid 70's. Grow in full sun. Shift hardened transplants to garden after last frost 24-30 inches apart.
CARE
Water regularly and fertilize when six inches tall and again in mid-summer. Stake or cage to save space and support plant.
HARVEST
Pick carefully when fruit is richly colored and firm, but beofre fruits begin to soften.
