Leafy Vegetables
Kale - Vates Blue Curled (80 days) Young tender shoots make delicious greens. Compact plants. Attractive bluish- green color.
Lettuce - Mesclun Blend (40-6 days) Colorful and tasty blend of cut-and-come again varieties. Plants are easy and attractive to grow in small gardens or containers. Successive planting is the key to fresh salads as plants should be harvested when young.Lettuce - Garden Leaf Blend (40-60 days) Our most popular varieties in one mix. Colorful mixture contains Black Seeded Simpson, Oakleaf, Grand Rapids, Iceberg, Red Salad Bowl, Red Romaine & Parris Island.
Vegetables
Cucumber – Saladmore Bush (55 days) Semi-bush vine is ideal for small gardens or containers. Versatile. Can be picked small for pickles, or at 7 to 8 inches for fresh slices and spears. Disease resistant or tolerant to CMV, Scab, Antracnose, PM tolerance.
Onion – White Lisbon (White Bunching). (65 days) This popular, easy-to-grow onion produces delicately flavored, slender stems and juicy green tops. Also known as green onions, scallions, or spring onions. Use fresh in salads, dips, and as an appetizer. With repeat sowings, you can harvest from spring through fall anywhere, and year-round in mild winter areas.
Radish – Cherry Belle (26 days) Round, red, crisp, and solid. Stays mild longer than others. Measures 3/4-inch across.Radish – French Breakfast (25 days) Bright scarlet radish with white tips. Roots are ¾ inch thick, 1-1/2 inches long. Crunchy, cool and mild when pulled young.
HERBS
Herb Seeds Nearly all herbs should be planted in loose, well-drained soil in full sun. Plant after danger of frost, work the soil deeply. Plant seed 1/8 to 1/4-inch deep and 2 inches apart, cover with fine soil and press down well. When plants are about 2 inches high, thin to 6 to 12 inches apart, depending on variety.
