Meet the Manager
Shane Young

History: I started working part-time on weekends at the Kearney store in Spring of 2024. I then moved to the Hastings store in the summer and started as manager in January 2025.

Favorite Place to Visit: Hastings Middle School greenhouse, garden and future orchard. I like spending time with family and friends, watching football (Huskers and Chiefs), and working on my home landscape.

Favorite Houseplant: Norfolk Island Pine (especially the one my Grandmother gave us.)

Favorite tree: My favorite evergreen tree is a Ponderosa Pine. My favorite shade tree is a tulip tree. And my favorite shrub is a Rhododendron.
