Container Mix - Earl May Complete

Earl May Complete Container Mix is specially designed for use in above ground containers like patio pots and window boxes, as well as hanging baskets where moisture management is critical for healthy vibrant plants.

Our Container Mix was created exactly to our specifications and designed to help regulate the water needs of plants. It will help shed water from roots in wet conditions yet will hold moisture in dry conditions when the plants need it the most.

Container Mix is pH adjusted and contains a specially blended combination of sphagnum peat moss, processed pine bark, perlite, lime, gypsum, wetting agent, moisture managing organic material, and timed-release plant food. The timed-release plant food will feed plants for an extended time. This is our best blended potting mix and is a customer favorite.

Directions for Use

Repotting: Pour enough soil into the new pot to raise the rootball to within 1-2 inches of the rim. Fill in and around the rootball and pat down firmly with your hands to eliminate air pockets.

Feeding: This product contains an extended release fertilizer to help feed plants for up to 2 months. When plant growth slows or foliage begins to turn a lighter shade of green, feed again with a water-soluble fertilizer.

Watering: Water newly potted plants promptly and frequently. Water daily on hot, dry days, and less often when it is cloudy and cool.

How much do you need?

An 8-inch diameter planter = 6 quarts of soil mix

A 12-inch diameter planter = 10 quarts of soil mix

A 16-inch diameter planter = 13 quarts of soil mix
