Details

An Earl May exclusive, this formula was developed specifically for soil conditions prevalent in the upper Midwest.

Earl May Midwest Select Summer Lawn Food contains a premium, 12-0-12 timed-release fertilizer with iron and sulfur added for extra-deep greening power without excessive top growth. Starts feeding in a few days and continues to feed for three months.

Thickens and promotes a lush, green lawn which is the best way to choke out weeds. Phosphorus-free formula is safe to use around lakes and public waterways. Extra potassium boosts the lawn's resistance to disease and drought stress. Will not burn lawn if applied correctly, even in high summer heat. This type of fast-acting iron is what golf courses use prior to a tournament to quickly green up the turf.

Coverage: 5,000 square feet

Directions for Use

Earl May Summer Lawn Food fortifies your lawn with the second most important major nutrient - potash. Your lawn's supply of potash decreases as the growing season progresses, especially if high nitrogen lawn foods have been used and grass clippings have been removed.

Only one application per season along with the Earl May regular fertilization program will help bring the potash balance up to recommended levels and add iron and sulfur at the same time.

When to Apply:

Earl May Summer Lawn Food can be applied any time during the year. For best results, apply as a supplement to your Earl May Four Step Fertilization Program. Or apply as your third or fourth application. This product contains iron which will promote a deeper greening.

How Much to Apply:

Apply 3.4 pounds per 1,000 square feet of lawn. See the Suggested Spreader Applications section on the back of the bag.

How to Apply:

Apply when the grass is dry and water deeply to get the nutrients down into the root zone.

Note: This product contains iron which will stain immediately when wet or applied to wet surfaces. Do not apply near water, storm drains, or drainage ditches. Do not apply if heavy rain is expected. Apply this product only to your lawn, and always sweep or blow off any concrete surface (sidewalks, decks, driveways, etc.) to avoid staining. Do NOT use a hose to try and remove this product from concrete.
