Shady Side lawn seed contains an excellent blend of four different types of shade tolerant grasses. University research shows multiple seed varieties provide much needed shade, drought and disease tolerance for Midwest lawns. The dark green color will blend well with other types of Earl May lawn seed.

Approximate seeding rate for new lawns: 2.5 to 3 pounds / 1000 square feet. For over-seeding an established lawn, apply at approximately one half of the above rate.

Planting & Maintenance Tips

• Prepare the soil by removing debris and loosening the top 2–3 inches.
